Chris VanBuskirk
Director of Maintenance
A&P IA, PPL

Born in Indiana, Chris recalls fondly his grandfather taking him to watch aircraft depart and land at KIND. He credits these early memories towards his love of aviation. After high school, he attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he began his work towards becoming a pilot as well as discovering a deep interest in maintenance studies. He took the interest in maintenance even further, and after graduating college, he enrolled at Redstone Maintenance College in Denver CO. From Redstone, Chris found himself working on the CH-47 from 2013-2019. This complex machine prepared him for countless unique and dynamic situations. Chris made his way to BFC in 2019 and has been keeping us running ever since. Chris has been working on his pilots licenses as well and is always willing to help instructors and students with maintenance questions.
