Rachael Ford
Line Instructor
CFI, CFI/I, CMEL

Rachael began her aviation career at age 23 as a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines, where her passion for flying quickly grew beyond the cabin. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she began working toward her private pilot license while continuing to fly and later advanced to the role of Purser, operating exclusively on international routes based in Detroit, Michigan. Rachael subsequently transitioned into Flight Operations, serving as a Flight Training and Procedural Instructor and further strengthening her technical and instructional background. She returned to Birmingham to complete her flight training at Birmingham Flight Center and is now a Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII). Outside of aviation, Rachael enjoys traveling, creative cooking, staying active, and spending time outdoors—preferably with a strong cup of coffee. She has been married for eight years and is the proud mother of her daughter, Tally.
